Dr. Jeff Wilke

Client Acquisition Manager & Entrepreneurial Coach

I proudly served in the United States Navy during two Gulf Wars. I have twenty-one year’s honorable service managing and mentoring Sailors, Marines, and civilian employees. While in the Navy I possessed a Secret security clearance and was entrusted with maintaining confidential personnel records, classified documents regarding national and international security affairs. At one assignment, I successfully trained over 200 Engineman “C” School students and 150 Cargo/Weapons Elevator School Students who achieved a combined GPA of 90%.

While stationed in Jacksonville, Florida, I was the Acting Director for the Emergency Food Bank. I was instrumental in it becoming a highly effective charity program. Over $10K in donations was raised and the program assisted 500 families base-wide in their first year. I was also active in increasing morale and efficiency, inspired others, led 60 personnel in providing strong support through volunteerism to the Moral Welfare & Recreation (MWR) facilities, programs, and events. I excelled at developing and executing solutions by maintaining operations through significant personnel shortages.

After serving honorably in the United States Navy for 21 years, I returned to the classroom to pursue my MBA and DBA. While pursuing my post graduate degree I owned and operated East Step Solutions, LLC. I provided business consulting services. I was instrumental in a client’s acquisition of a utility company and necessary SBA funding of $300K. I also supervised the purchasing process for the management team and developed their business plan.

Another success story was when a client obtained $1.2M in SBA funding for a complex start-up business and build out using the comprehensive business plan I wrote. I also enjoyed serving as the Vice President of the Board of Directors for a private non-profit university alumni association. I developed and implemented a communication plan that increased alumni enrollment by 20% to over 75K alumni throughout the United States and internationally with a budget of approximately $105K. Active Alumni increased their donations to the University and inactive alumni became active members as they made their first pledge to the University. This initiative increased alumni sponsorship and fundraising endowments.

I combine my business expertise and background in education to advance the mission and implement the policies of Webster University. I maintain academic quality between the two campuses, six graduate degree and certificate programs, and 20 adjunct faculty members. My most recent undertaking was establishing video conferencing to connect with other campuses so that only one professor is needed to teach simultaneously at multiple locations. This saves the University money while increasing their revenue. Savings per class is in excess of $3,500. Currently, I am an active member of the Military Affairs Committee for the Onslow-Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce.

I enjoy volunteering in the community and listening to young men and women share their hopes and dreams for the future.Streamlining procedures, finding ways to save money without compromising the delivery of education are two areas I excel. I am also inspired by monitoring and assessing programs and making necessary adjustments so that programs meet the evolving needs of the students. I want to see students succeed in the workplace. I am certified in blended learning platforms: eCollege, Blackboard, and WebCT and Video Conferencing Teaching & Training (VTT) Certified.

I hold a Doctor of Business Administration/Marketing from Argosy University. I graduated with a 4.0 GPA and was inducted into two prestigious honor societies. My Master of Business Administration is from Saint Leo University and my Bachelor of Arts – Technology Management is also from Saint Leo University where I graduated cum laude.
